Columbus take on the Samworths Charity Challenge 2017

In support of our customer, Samworth Brothers, a team from Columbus are taking on the tough Samworths Charity Challenge!

In support of our customer, Samworth Brothers, a brave team from Columbus are taking on the 6th Samworths Charity event on 10th June, 2017.

The Challenge routes, Tough, Super Tough and Elite will remain a closely guarded secret until the day of the event. However, it is certain that whichever route our team will travel, it will take them through spectacular scenery and remote terrain.

This will be Samworth Brothers 6th Charity Challenge and its 10th year running this huge event. It all began in 2007 in the beautiful Lake District, so the decision was made to celebrate this monumental occasion by returning again to the Lakes for this years challenge.

In ten years, teams have approximately trekked 15,900km, cycled 42,100km and raised a massive £1.5 million. The efforts over the years have benefited many charities - local and nationwide - and this year will be no different.

The charities that we will be raising money for this year are Maggie's Centres who offers free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their families and friends. And also Little Miracles, a charity that supports families that have children with additional needs, disabilities and life limiting conditions.

Columbus will be taking part in this fantastic event alongside 40+ other brands including Tesco, M&S, Ginsters, Waitrose and Columbus customer, Jacksons Bakery.

We would like to wish all teams taking part in this challenge good luck.
