Columbus is looking for a seasoned Application Management Services professional to lead Columbus go-to-market plan for the Application Management (AMS) Service line. You will have the mandate of enabling Columbus to establish, sustain and grow our market position in AMS market..

Solution Management for AMS in Columbus aims at:

  • Defining and owning overall value proposition and go-to-market strategy for Columbus AMS offerings surrounding core ERP and other business solutions
  • Defining and executing alliance strategy for delivering AMS services
  • Defining packaged operational services combining Services, tools, and products for our target market in Food, retail and Manufacturing verticals and facilitating go-to-market activities
  • Work in closed collaboration with the ColumbusCare global leadership team supporting them in building the delivery capability ((people, tools and processes) for packaged Application Management Services
  • Being a key contributing team member of the ColumbusCare leadership team

Main purpose of the job

Solution Director – AMS will own Application Management Services service line and will drive market growth working together with customer facing Business units. The role will enable Columbus sales and customer facing Business Units with conceptualizing, marketing and selling Application Management Services around on a wide range of core business solutions.

The role requires deep experience and understanding of Application Management and the ITIL framework. A high degree of customer orientation and service design capability is key for winning in this role.

The key expectations from this role are:

  • Bring a deep understanding of Application Management Services market, trends, opportunities, competition and underlying processes and tools.
  • Develop sharp and well-articulated value proposition around AMS for our core business application offerings in target verticals of Food, retail and Manufacturing.
  • Engage with Columbus sales teams and customers to educate them and evangelize AMS offerings.
  • Develop, own and track business plans and associated business KPIs to grow AMS portfolio.
  • Maintain and develop AMS suite of service offerings, working closely with the ColumbusCare leadership team, Offering Management, Marketing and Sales functions.
  • Work with number of Columbus Business Units to enable go-to-market, pre-sales and sales of Application Management Services.
  • Lead key customer engagements around AMS strategy, solution design and solution governance managing key customer stakeholders.

You will closely work with a number of Customer Operations Directors (in various geographies) and collaborate with them to enable pre-sales, sales and delivery of AMS solutions. You will report to the Vice President of ColumbusCare based in Columbus corporate.


  • Graduate degree in Computer Science or Engineering or Technology
  • Master degree, in Business and Administration, or similar is preferable (commercial and IT in combination is an advantage)


  • 15+ years’ of total experience within IT Services industry
  • 5+ years of business lead or offering development experience in Application management and/or Operations domain
  • Should have handled business line level ownership with clear business revenue linked objectives
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering Application Management Services to global customers, both in Subject matter expert and leadership roles.
  • Expert level competency in understanding, articulating and conceptualizing emerging trends in application management space, especially in the area of critical business application such as ERP.
  • Demonstrable experience with driving go-to-market activities with participation from diverse geographies.
  • Demonstrable global outlook and ability to work in culture-neutral manner
