Columbus and Elkem are working together on Elkem’s digitalization journey. Columbus is Elkem’s strategic and operational IT partner for the ERP solution Infor M3, where Columbus supports the day-to-day operations and related applications globally.
Elkem together with Columbus has now implemented Infor M3 in 15 plants and 24 sales/admin units globally. There are 750 M3 users in 15 countries today.

Medius global roll out
A successful global rollout project of Medius invoice automation application has just been completed for Canada, US, Dubai, Shanghai, Foundry China, Japan, Denmark and UK. The Norwegian plants, Iceland and Paraguay have been using Medius for years and now
Elkem has accomplished to use its full potential. This project will digitalize and automate the invoice handling process and save up to 5400 hours annually.
Successful DNB Bank integration project in Chicoutimi
Feedback from Steeve Barbeau, Finance Manager, Elkem Chicoutimi:
“The bank integration project has been a success for Chicoutimi in 2020. Some challenges were faced at the beginning with bank but the best decision we have taken was to move most of our payment to the DnB instead of trying to develop an interface with the CIBC. Digitalization internal invoice process
Digitalizing the internal invoice process for Elkem Accounting have saved significant amount of manual work and 900 invoices yearly will be handled digitally instead of manually.
Effective bank integration project in India
Recently a M3 bank integration project for Elkem India was completed in less than a month. This bank integration will save the Mumbai office and Nagpur plant annually 100 days of work.
