Columbus, a leading service provider of digital business solutions globally celebrates its 30th anniversary.

Ballerup, 1 May 2019: Today, Columbus celebrates 30 years of growth, innovation and progress. Columbus was founded in 1989, the same year as the World Wide Web was invented, and as the IT industry took off with exorbitant growth rates.

Since its start in 1989, Columbus has grown from an 8-people Danish entrepreneur company into a global IT service and consultancy with more than 2,000 highly skilled employees, thus keeping its steady momentum to become our customers’ preferred service provider of digital business solutions.

Since 2011, Columbus has been led by CEO Thomas Honoré who has grown the business continuously from a revenue of DKK 881m and close to 900 employees to a 2,000 people business with a revenue of DKK 1.9m. (financial year 2018) in 2019.

Columbus continued the positive development from 2019 with revenue growth in the first two months of the year until COVID-19 hit the world community. 2019 was a good year for Columbus with 4% organic growth and EBITDA growth of 39%. The positive development continued in the first two months of the year, after which COVID-19 changed the conditions for 2020. Columbus is fully focused on serving customers and adapting the business to the changing situation.
With an organic growth of 5% in Q3 and EBITDA growth of 48% in Q3 YTD, Columbus delivers a satisfactory result for the first 9 months, thus maintaining the expectations for the year.
With an EBITDA growth of 7%, Columbus delivers a satisfactory first half of 2019, and maintains full year expectations.
