8 October, 2018 – Columbus, the global digital business services provider, today announced the successful deployment of Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations for Interflora, the leading flower distributor in the UK and Ireland. The new solution will support Interflora’s 24/7 sundry product distributions to over 1,200 independent florists using Columbus-developed integration routines that connect directly to a third-party logistics provider.

Interflora selected the recently-launched Columbus eCommerce solution to add new functionality to its front-end web presence. Columbus eCommerce, which fully integrates with Microsoft Dynamics 365, allows Interflora to offer preferential rates to florists with different levels of membership through the new dynamic webstore.

Interflora will use Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations to manage and enhance business processes including warehousing, stock control and purchase orders, and improve the supply chain between Interflora’s third-party logistics provider and independent florists. Columbus will also provide training support packages to ensure Interflora employees enjoy a smooth transition to the new system.

Nathan Young, IT Director, Interflora

“We’ve opted for an industry standard and proven solution in Microsoft Dynamics 365. Columbus has impressed us with the expert knowledge of its consultants and a consistently high quality of service. Despite our tight deployment deadline, the Columbus team has ensured a smooth roll-out and close support throughout the entire process to ensure minimal disruption to live operations.”

Chris Mean, Chief Operating Officer, Columbus UK

“Columbus has extensive experience in deploying the Microsoft Dynamics 365 portfolio for retailers and distributors across the UK, and I am pleased Interflora recognised our expertise and selected Columbus to deliver Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations. With Columbus eCommerce, Interflora has chosen a fully integrated solution that will introduce scalability and reactive pricing based on existing Dynamics 365 business rules. Throughout the deployment process, our dedicated team worked closely with Interflora and its third-party logistics provider to ensure comprehensive integration ahead of the go-live date.”
